1- Clutter-free space

A clutter-free space is very important for you to think straight. In fact, this is scientifically proven through various studies. A cluttered space can distract you easily and will increase your anxiety.

Also, in a cluttered desk, you will have to search all the time for items like pencils, notepads, etc. which can fuel your anxiety if you are already anxious about something.

So, the first step is to declutter your workspace and stay focused.

2- Avoid Distractions

When you work from home there will be many distractions, it could either your friends, family members, pets, or phone. The best thing to deal with this is to spot a quiet area dedicated entirely to your work and make it a habit to work there every day.

If you try to juggle your work in multiple locations then it can be very tiring. Dedicate a fixed time to work and then take regular breaks. During the break indulge in all these distractions.

3- Stay Hydrated

Make sure that you are hydrated. Chances are high to get dehydrated when you are busy working. So it is best you keep a bottle of water on the table so that you will stay hydrated.

Also, drinking warm water with some ginger can help boost your immunity and make you feel energized.

4- Note it down

In order to stay organized and help you manage your time, it is always best to keep a pen/ pencil along with a notepad handy.

This will help you note down insights from every meeting that you attend which you can utilize to plan your work.

5- Communicate

Communication is the best thing you can do to reduce your stress and boost productivity. Proper communication with your team members can help you identify the importance of every task and work accordingly. Lack of communication can often lead to unwanted pressure.

You should also communicate more with your family members. If you are a parent then communication with your kids can actually make them feel secure while you work.

6- Stick to a Schedule

Stick to a work schedule. Do not overwork and tire yourself out. Always work for 45 mins straight and take 10 mins to break. Also, plan your lunch or dinner breaks in advance at a regular time.

If you have kids doing this could be reassuring to them as they will be able to anticipate when you work and when you take breaks.

7- Exercise

Before you go to sleep every day, take 10 minutes to plan your day. This will help you develop a daily routine that can accommodate enough time for everything.

Make sure that you have allotted a fixed amount of time to exercise. You can either go to the gym, do yoga, just climb the staircase or even go for a walk with your dog. This not only helps to keep you healthy but will also improve your mood.

8- Connect with friends/loved ones

Connecting with the people we love can instantly brighten up our mood and reduce our stress. So when you get stressed immediately take a break take deep breaths and check if any of your friends are free for a quick chat.

This will definitely help you lower your stress.

9- Set Boundaries

Work can get quite stressful if you haven’t established your boundaries with your colleagues. Do not extend your work timings for any reason.

Also, make sure you do not entertain any work-related calls or discussions during weekends or on your leave days.

10- Sleep

Last but not least, Sleep is very important. If you don’t get enough sleep daily then it will affect your work timings. So, always make sure that you sleep for at least 6 hours and it is best if you can sleep for 8 hours.
